How To Repair A Tarpaulin

Leave a message

In daily life, tarpaulins are bound to be damaged. What should we do at this time?

Tarpaulin glue

Cut two pieces of cloth according to the size of the hole, one circle larger than the hole. It is best to round the edges of the cloth so that it is not easy to open. First repair one side of the tarpaulin. It is best to stick the non-PU coated side of the cloth outward, which is more wear-resistant. Apply glue evenly, especially the edge circle, and then stick the prepared cloth on. If you feel uneasy after sticking it, you can apply another layer on the seam. It is foolproof. It should be noted that the glue dries very quickly, as short as ten seconds, so the glue must be applied quickly. Turn it over and stick another piece on the other side of the tarpaulin to ensure firmness and prevent it from opening again, and you are done.

Tarpaulin tape

1. First, clean the damaged surface of the canvas. You can use sandpaper to lightly grind the damaged area, but be careful not to wear off the waterproof layer

2. Measure the size of the damaged area, cut out the appropriate tape section and stick it to the damaged area.

3. Smooth the damaged area between the tape and the canvas so that the tape and the canvas are completely bonded together.

4. Finally, let it stand for 1-2 hours to allow the glue on the tape to completely bond with the canvas.
