Characteristics And Uses Of Silicone Canvas

Leave a message

Silicone is a synthetic polymer with silicon atoms and oxygen atoms as the main chain. Since the silicon-oxygen bonds constituting the main chain have higher bond energy, the stability of silicone polymers to heat and oxygen is much higher than that of general organic polymers. Although the mechanical properties of silicone at room temperature are not much different from those of other materials, it exhibits excellent physical and mechanical properties at high and low temperatures. Its performance is not affected by multiple alternations between minus 60 and 250 degrees Celsius, and some can even be used normally at minus 100 degrees Celsius. It has high and low temperature resistance, electrical insulation, ozone resistance, radiation resistance, flame retardancy, hydrophobicity, corrosion resistance, non-toxic and tasteless, and physiological inertness. Today, silicone has been widely used in various industries such as electronics and electrical, construction, textiles, light industry, and medical treatment, and has a wide range of applications in the automotive industry.

Main uses of silicone canvas:

1. It can be used as cargo tarpaulins for cars, trains, and ships;

2. It can be used to cover the storage of goods in open-air warehouses at stations, docks, ports, and airports;

3. It can be used to build temporary granaries and various crops for outdoor covering;

4. It can be used as a material for building sheds and fixed warehouses at various construction sites such as construction sites, power construction sites, etc.;

5. It can be used as a tent for training in the field, silicone tarpaulins for cars, etc.;

6. Due to its scratch-resistant and wear-resistant characteristics, it is also widely used as a canvas for covering metal materials and protecting them from rain.
